Spring 2009

It's been awhile since we updated our blog, I'm home sick with Gus today, so I thouht I'd take advantage of some down time. It's been a busy Spring . . . Gus turned 1 in February. He is now almost 17 months old . . . and finally just starting to walk. Gus cut 12 teeth since December and with all the drainage ended up needing tubes in his ears. We are so glad we did it, he is finally sleeping through the night again and we've gone almost 2 months without an ear infection. Brock turned 5 in April and just finished his 2nd year of pre-school. He is going to attend 2 different pre-schools next year because Mom and Dad are not ready to send him to kindergraden! He's smart as a wip though, we are so proud of him. Brock is a thinker (like his daddy) and comes up with the funniest things. The most recent thing he said that I am still laughing about was . . . .

I made chocolate chip cookies one night and Brock was inhaling them, he went downstairs and asked Paul if he wanted one and Paul said no that he was trying to watch what he was eating . . . Brock stood there for a few seconds munching on his cookie and said . . . "Well Dad, I've seen you eat a cookie before. . . ." he paused for a little bit as he continued to ponder what Paul had told him . . . then he said "Actually, I've seen you eat the whole bag of cookies." Paul was speechless but couldn't help but chuckle. . .

My sister Becky just had her second baby boy. We were excited to have a new nephew and cousing, RORY WEEKLY. We just can't get a girl on our side of the family! But, just think about how much fun these little boys are going to have together. Congrats Mike, Becky and Owen.
